COVID19 Update: Monday 28 June 2021

Dear Members,

We would like to thank you for your continued support throughout this difficult time as new restrictions have been announced by the NSW Government. Advice continues to come in from the Government and industry bodies and we appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. As rules and interpretations can change quickly and the Clubs main priority is to provide the safest environment for members, guests and staff. Unless the public health order is extended the following changes will be in place until Friday, 9th July 2021.

  •   Masks are required to be worn while in the club & proshop by all staff, members & guests
  •   You may remove your masks when you are actively eating and drinking.
  •   You must remain seated while in the club, restrictions do not allow for standingwhile socialising.
  •   We will continue our Trivia, Raffles and Members Draw over the restriction period.
  •   We must follow the one person per 4 square metre rule so you will notice signs on chairs and tables around the club that are unable to be used during restrictions.
  •   The courtesy bus, indoor bowls, poker, line dancing & live entertainment will be cancelled during the restriction period.
  •   It is also recommended masks be worn when unable to social distance while on the golf course and bowling greens

Our priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been the safety and well-being of members, guests and our staff. We appreciate your ongoing patience through this difficult time.

Stay Safe,

Scott MacLean

The Board sadly has to announce that the Club’s General Manager Don Field, has decided to resign from his position. Don has decided it is time to pursue other challenges in the industry. The Board would like to thank Don for his great efforts over the last few years in managing the operations of the Club, particularly through a very trying 2020 with Bushfire and Covid 19 shuts downs. We wish him well in his new endeavour.

Water Bubblers & Taps on Golf Course and Bowling Greens

Tura Beach Country Club provides water bubblers at various locations on the Clubs Golf Course and Bowling Green areas. During Covid period, Members and Visitors are encouraged to BYO water and or purchase Water Bottles from the Clubs Pro Shop or Clubhouse for hydrating whilst utilising course and greens facilities.

Water fountains/bubblers should only be used to refill personal water bottles.

Please Sanitize your hands prior to and after use. Allow the water to run for a few seconds.

Do not allow the water bottle to contact the water fountain head or bubbler.

Please be advised that the Club will no longer take bistro bookings on Friday evenings until further notice during Covid- 19 restriction period. Bistro patrons will be seated based on the ‘first in first serviced basis’
Members are advised that there are patron limits within the Club under the Covid regulations and there are no groups of over ten (10) permitted at any one table.

We thank you for your understanding with this request.

The Club has installed a defibrillator at the fuel shed site at the Course Greens Shed for use in emergencies One of the benefits of having defibrillators in a central and/or public location is that they can be accessed and used even by someone with no medical training. The defibrillator using step-by-step voice commands will guide you through the process of treating a victim of suspected sudden cardiac arrest.

Please familiarise yourself with the location or see one of the Club’s friendly staff for assistance with location or by calling the Club on 64959002

On Friday evening 28th August 2020 the Clubs Management Representatives of General Manager Don Field and Club Chairman Alek Werchanowski received a $33,500.00 grant cheque from Merimbula Commonwealth Bank Branch Manager Jodie Heaton on behalf of the club.

General Manager thanked Jodie and the CBA for their generous support of Tura Beach Country Club and advised Club Members that the money would be used to replace the damaged air conditioning unit. General Manager Don Field asked Members present to support the CBA and all other local businesses during these tough times we are all experienced during bushfires and with the present COVID-19 situation. He advised that the Club will continue to play a strong role in supporting the local Community. Club Chairman Alek Werchanowski supported the General Managers comments and thanked the CBA for their support.
