The Club has installed a defibrillator at the fuel shed site at the Course Greens Shed for use in emergencies One of the benefits of having defibrillators in a central and/or public location is that they can be accessed and used even by someone with no medical training. The defibrillator using step-by-step voice commands will guide you through the process of treating a victim of suspected sudden cardiac arrest.

Please familiarise yourself with the location or see one of the Club’s friendly staff for assistance with location or by calling the Club on 64959002

On Friday evening 28th August 2020 the Clubs Management Representatives of General Manager Don Field and Club Chairman Alek Werchanowski received a $33,500.00 grant cheque from Merimbula Commonwealth Bank Branch Manager Jodie Heaton on behalf of the club.

General Manager thanked Jodie and the CBA for their generous support of Tura Beach Country Club and advised Club Members that the money would be used to replace the damaged air conditioning unit. General Manager Don Field asked Members present to support the CBA and all other local businesses during these tough times we are all experienced during bushfires and with the present COVID-19 situation. He advised that the Club will continue to play a strong role in supporting the local Community. Club Chairman Alek Werchanowski supported the General Managers comments and thanked the CBA for their support.

MEMBER UPDATE:  Monday 29th June 2020

With the easing of more restrictions, I am happy to advise that the NSW Government has announced that, from 1 July 2020, the capacity of clubs will be based on 1 patron per 4 square metres, without the additional rules on 50 patrons per food or drink area.

Your Club raffles and badge draws will return this Friday 3rd July 2020.

We are pleased to be able to have our raffles back and in coming weeks will reintroduce, Trivia, Yoga and Poker.

We are excited to be moving to this level and welcome back all Members to enjoy all of the activities you have missed over previous months.

To assist Club staff please find below regulations

  • Alcohol can only be consumed by seated customers – Patrons must be seated while consuming alcohol. This means that a patron cannot drink alcohol while standing to play or watch a game.
  • Members/Guests must not move between different groups while they are on the premises.

Standing vs sitting

  • Members are advised that you are not explicitly required to be seated at all times. Members and Guests are only required to be seated while consuming alcohol. Club staff will be ensuring that, where patrons are not seated, measures are in place to prevent co-mingling between members of different groups.

FRIDAY 15 MAY 2020
Dear Members & Guests,
As many of you are aware, the NSW Government has started to ease some of the restrictions in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. Amongst other measures, restaurants and cafes can now seat up to 10 patrons at any one time.
Our Board and team members are extremely happy to hear that NSW is moving in a positive direction and appreciate the relief that these new measures will bring.
Though we miss our members and guests terribly, the current restrictions do not make opening a feasible option for our venue with these ‘limited’ numbers, however our current takeaway offerings will remain in place.
We are certain that with the continued efforts of everyone in our community, the number of COVID-19 cases will remain low and we will be able to open our doors again sooner rather than later.
Thank you all for your messages of support and understanding over these past few weeks – they are very much appreciated.
We look forward to helping you celebrate special occasions, keeping you warm with hot coffee and taking care of the weeknight cooking very soon!

We’ll Be Back!

Dear Members and Guests,

I hope that everyone is safe and healthy. It is important that we all do the right thing so we can get back to our normal lives as soon as possible. Please take notice of our State and Federal Governments directives at all times. If we do we will get through this crisis sooner. At this time golf can continue to be played under strict rules and social distancing measures. The ability to exercise safely, the ongoing mental health of our members and community and the NSW Government decision to allow golf to be played were all factors in the continuation of Golf courses remaining open.

Please ensure that when playing on the course you maintain your social distancing as required by government regulations and adhere to the temporary rules of play at Tura Beach Country Club.

By abiding with the regulations it will hopefully enable us to continue to provide golf on our course.

Recently NSW Police have visited golf courses and checked on the compliance with the laws so please comply at all times. It is up to us all to do the right thing. Enjoy your golf, stay safe and healthy, thank you for your understanding and assistance during the period.

We are selling TAKEAWAY BEVERAGES from CLUB RECEPTION every Saturday 10am to 5pm and every Sunday 12;00-5:00pm. Please assist the Club and purchase your takeaway beverages from us.

CLUB HOUSE TEMPORARY CLOSURE – As per government direction we have temporarily closed our Club House with the exception of our Golf course. Although we are closed, Club Management are working on getting the Club ready to reopen as soon as permitted. All Club Staff are being regularly communicated to and all are being offered services and assistance to get them through this crisis. We look forward to having ALL of our regular staff back on deck soon.

We will do our best to keep you informed as regularly as possible with updated information as it becomes available. Please keep up to date by visiting our website or following us on Facebook. Please do not hesitate to contact me at the Club on 64959002 if you have any questions.

Thank You

Don Field – General Manager

Dear Members,
Following information and advice from State and Federal authorities as well as Golf NSW,

Tura Beach Country Club Golf Course will be closed effective immediately. No competition or social play is permitted. Members or the playing public are not permitted to use the course for the period of the closure.

I urge all members to support the Club by doing the right thing, of course if you wish to walk and get some fresh air then this is allowed, however two people maximum, and you should reside with that person.

I ask the Members not to get involved in policing matters, as this will be dealt with by authorities if needed.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation with this decision. Thank you.
